Hopi Ear Candling

Hopi Ear Candling is an ancient natural therapy handed down by the Hopi Indians in North America, It was used traditionally by shaman healers. Ancient wall Paintings such as those found within the caves of the Grand Canyon show the importance of ear candling in initiation rituals and healing ceremonies of the tribe. Ear candles are still handmade today on the basis of the old traditional methods originating from the Hopi Indians.
Hopi Ear Candles are hollow tubes traditionally made from organically grown flax, extracts of honey, beeswax and herbs. These candles provide a non-invasive treatment of the ears which are used to treat a variety of conditions.
The ear candling treatment is a relaxing one, where the candles have a slight sucking action (often referred to as the chimney principle) drawing any impurities to the surface where they can be gently removed.

The flow of air within the ear candle creates a circulation of concentrated vapour which is soothing, calming and protects the irritated areas. Most of the impurities or deposits are carried away through the candle "chimney."

The rising air inside the ear sets up a vibration which gently massages the eardrum. This can help to regulate the pressures involved inside the ear.
With this treatment, I also do a very light massage on the face to help with drainage.

Hopi Ear Candles can help with:

  • Cleaning out excessive or compacted wax.

  • Cleaning out yeast build up and dispelling fluid build up.

  • Promoting lymphatic circulation.

  • Improving immune system.

  • Diminishing chronic sinusitis.

  • Enhancing hearing, or even taste and smell.

  • Relieving ear pain.

  • Restoring equilibrium or pressure in the ears.

  • Noises in the ears, ringing, tinnitus.
